This one I made for a friends wife. It is her birthstone (Blue Topaz) and her daughters (Topaz, Emrald). They liked it so much that I am now making more for their family. :)

Well my thanksgiving holiday was eventful to say the least on Wednesday night after getting to a friends house to house sit I decided it would be fun to try and break my ankle. What the heck might as well do something new and exciting right. well this is how my ankle looked on Thursday morning:

Prayer Request

My aunt Diana (left) came to see us for a very short time this weekend. She was supposed to stay all weekend but got a call first thing Saturday morning and her Dr told her to come back home. (6 hours away) Diana has recently been experiencing some kidney problems. Well she has had a "trill" port into her arm a few months ago cause they new that they would have to dialysis soon. Well i think that time is here. In a month her kidney function went from 21% to 13% She is at the dr right now doing more test. Please say a prayer for her to get her thru this time. I would really appreciate it. It is so hard to be so far from her during this time. My mom (right) is going nuts wanting to be there with her. I am also worried about my mom cause they are so close. I keep telling her to think positive but she is just so down right now. Thank you all for letting me spill a little. :)

I have been meaning to do this for a while but it has been so super busy that I dont know if I am coming or going.

Good grief it has been a while since I posted here. The school system I work for block a lot of stuff during the year, but during the summer the unblock it all . :)

Well I have been busy working on 3 commissioned ornament covers for a friend. She want then for her 3 daughters in their kids birth stones. Here is the first one that I have finished.

Jan. & December:

My mom said that she thinks it looks like and Indian Head dress. :) I am really excited that it turned out good. I am about half way thru the second one. It is pearls and aquamarine. Turing out really pretty.

Been making a lot of earring and bracelets and stuff too for swaps and stuff. Been real busy around here. Well with beads, gotta do some house work. :)

Well guess I better start this off with the first ones I did a while back. I am a member of our local Gem and Mineral Society and we started a beading goup. The left bracelet is my first one in this pattern that Sharon taught us that afternoon. We try to meet oncea month and laugh and have a good time. The one on the right is one that I made for myself too. It is a pretty simple pattern to do. I am also a memeber of the Beading Daily website and every once in a while we have swaps where we make stuff for each other. I made this for a lady named Lina on there. This is her pic of the one I made for her. I thought it turned out pretty.

Wow it has been a while

Good grief it has been a while since I have been on here. Been so much going on too. Where to start where to start. Well I haven not been doing much tatting lately. Been drawn back into my jewelry and really enjoy doing that. Had a bad scare back in October with my dad and we almost lost him. He had to have a quad bypass and his diabetes has caused a lost of kidney damage so they started shutting down. Made it thru surgery and got to go home for about a week. then his body turned on him and he started retaining massive amounts of fluid. Congestive heart failure set and and we thought we were gonna lose him again. Went back in the hospital for a while. Now he is doing great. Stronger than ever, about 35 pounds lighter and blowing and a going. Well we also lost my grandmother recently. Her Alzheimer's became terrible and she finally went to be with GOD in June of this year. She was such a great lady and taught me sooooooo soooooo much. Many of the crafts and hobbies I do today are thanks to that lady. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and loved everyone she met. For her funeral I made a video of her life and everyone really liked it. I know she would have too.

I have tried a couple of times and it wont upload the video. :(

Well enough of the sad for a bit. I have a new baby during the ordeal with dad a momma kitty in our back yard disowned one of her babies cause she was sick. Well we just could not have that so we took her in and started raising her. Had to bottle feed her and everything. She is so sweet and I love her to death.

Bookmark for a friend in Germany

I made this bookmark for a bookmark exchange with a friend in Germany. The pattern is from Kersti and is called Stumpy. It is a very easy pattern and I enjoyed making it.

Below is the bookmark that Karin sent to me from Germany. She said that it is her own pattern, I love the colors of it and it is a very beautiful bookmark. I am so glad to have received it.

Well over the last 2 weeks I have not had much fun or felt like doing much crafts thanks to some major car trouble. Been real down in the dumps. WELLLL not any more since I got my new toy. I am having so much fun in it and really like it. Even Sam likes it, he just jumps right in.

Mom's Tatted Cross

Well I decided to take a break from my Doily and make this cross for my mom. I plan on framing it and giving it to her. The pattern is the Cross Bookmark from Sharon Albers. It measures 4.75 x 5.75 inches. I made it with DMC Pearl Cotton Floss called Summer Breeze. Hope you like and thanks for looking.

Well I decided over the Christmas Holdiay to try my hand at something new. I was very inspiried by some tatting that I had seen on another craft site so I decided to try it out. Well I am now hooked on it also. I went and got a book at my craft store and here are my first three tries. This pattern came out of a needle tatting book called "Learn Needle Tatting" by Barbara Foster.

The other day I was out in my parents yard and heard some rustling up in my tree. Well I was suprised when I looked up in the tree and saw this white dove. I noticed that she was a lot smaller than the doves we have around. My mom got home while I was out there and we noticed that there were two gray doves flying around. We think that they were her parents and they were trying to help her fly. We have seen her a couple of times since then and all three of them are always together.
